When using a knitting machine, pay attention to safety precautions, equipment inspection, standardized operation, and regular maintenance. The following are key precautions:

Personal Protective Equipment Preparation

Wear tight-fitting work clothes. Do not wear loose clothing, scarves, slippers, or operate barefoot to prevent being caught in the machine.

Long hair must be tied back. Do not wear jewelry (such as earrings or bracelets) to avoid catching in transmission parts.

It is recommended to wear protective glasses and a dust mask to prevent eye and respiratory injuries from flying lint and yarn fragments.

Equipment Inspection and Adjustment

Before operation, check that all components are secure, including the shed, heald frame, beat-up mechanism, and take-up mechanism, to prevent loosening that could lead to malfunctions.

Confirm that the lubrication system has sufficient oil level, paying particular attention to bearings and gearboxes, and add lubricating oil as required.

Check that the electrical wiring is intact and that the grounding resistance meets standards to avoid the risk of electric leakage.

Test the emergency stop button for sensitivity to ensure immediate shutdown in case of emergency.

Standard Operating Procedures

Before starting the machine, ensure there are no obstructions or personnel nearby, and press the emergency stop button to lock the equipment.

Manually rotate the machine to observe whether the moving parts are stable and whether there are any jamming or abnormal noises.

Inching the start-up mechanism to observe whether the running direction is correct, and fine-tune the yarn tension to ensure even closure of the weave.

During operation, it is strictly forbidden to put any part of your body into the shed area or the gaps in the needle bed to prevent pinching or entanglement injuries.

Cleaning, lubricating, or adjusting the machine while it is running is prohibited. The machine must be stopped immediately and a "Under Maintenance" warning sign must be displayed.
