The cleaning methods for knitting machines mainly include daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and specialized cleaning of components. Operation must be performed with the power off. Avoid using compressed air to blow on the needle bed to prevent damage.
Daily Cleaning: Before each use, use a soft cloth or brush to remove fiber debris, lint, and oil stains from the needle bed, guide rails, yarn feeder, tension device, etc., keeping all components clean.
Deep Cleaning: Use compressed air weekly to blow on the gaps in the transmission mechanism, paying special attention to cleaning the yarn path; a vacuum cleaner can also be used to clean the needle hook and shift spring area. Never use compressed air directly on the needle bed.
Specialized Cleaning: Cleaning the yarn cutting and clamping device: Push up the yarn cutting and clamping scissors and clean the scissors and clamping rollers with a cloth or brush. It is recommended to do this once a week.
Clean the machine head and frame: First, wipe away oil stains with waste sandpaper, then apply a small amount of household sewing machine oil and gently wipe the anvil and triangular needle track, then lubricate with oil.
Yarn Frame Area: Gently brush away accumulated dust such as lint with a soft brush.
After cleaning, check that there are no foreign objects in the needle bed, that all parts are back in their original positions, and that the power and safety door are turned off.
